The most preventable type of damage to your household is caused by fires. Often times we are caught up in our normal routines that we let our guard down. As our guard comes down, accidents happen.
In 1925, President Calvin Coolidge officially named the first week of October as Fire Prevention Week. As we are coming fresh off of Fire Prevention Week, we wanted to give you three easy tips to decrease your chance of fire loss.
Three Fire Prevention Tips:
- Unplug electrical device’s when not in use
- Use caution when storing flammable items/never place them in areas that may become hot
- Use extreme caution while cooking and using the stove
These three tips are not the be all approach to stopping fires; but they can play a significant role in eliminating carless household fires.
